Outdoor Environment

At Shorebreakers Kindergarten we have two outdoor learning environments - a safe learning space for our younger 0 to 2 year olds, as well as a larger playground for the 2-5 year old children. Both outdoor spaces provide children with a variety of experiences from construction, whether in the sandpits or through a variety of materials including blocks and loose parts, gross motor activities through obstacle courses and physical activity resources, a variety of dramatic play scenarios, art and craft experiences and much more. Our outdoor curriculum provides all children with extended periods of play in both the morning and afternoons, that allow for the growth of friendships as well as the construction of knowledge and development of skills.
